Hunger and poverty go hand in hand. Families living with food insecurity are some of the most impoverished people around the world. Lack of money, lack of means and lack of access to food all play a huge role in worldwide hunger. Conflict, climate change and unprecedented disaster like the Covid-19 pandemic also push people deeper into despair.

Worldwide, 14 million children under the age of 5 suffer from acute malnutrition but sadly only 25% of these children have the means to receive life-saving nutritional support. Through our ongoing food projects, Zaimah is attempting to end child food poverty because we believe no child deserves to go hungry.

We’ve established our feeding programmes in Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, the UK, Uganda, Somalia, Somaliland, Senegal, Kenya and Malawi. Our Sustainable Food Solutions

When you feed the poor with Zaimah, you’re helping deliver sustainable long-term food solutions to millions of starving people. Together we can fight hunger.

Our projects that feed the hungry provide essential food item to families in need such as rice, pasta, canned goods and foods with a long shelf life. We do this so that families can plan their meals and not worry about their food spoiling. But that’s not all we do.

At Zaimah, we asses each individual situation before delivering aid so that we can provide the best means of support to those in need. When necessary, we also provide cooking tools, like oil operated mini stoves, to families so they can feed the hungry children in their homes with ease.

We also want the families we help to feel empowered and eventually become self-sufficient so in times of crisis, we provide a range of services to feed the poor from supplying hot meals and non-perishable food parcels to distributing cash vouchers and cooking essentials.

Another important sustainable solution that we offer is agricultural training. Our training programmes gives impoverished people the tools, seeds and training they need to grow crops and put food on the table for themselves.
